I am available for conferences, lectures, talks, and other academic activities, which can be conducted in Portuguese, English, or Spanish.
I deeply believe in the importance of the critical dissemination of psychoanalysis, always prioritizing a counter-colonial and engaged perspective, with analyses that reflect the reality of 21st-century Brazilian society.
Over the past 15 years, I have dedicated myself to the study of D. W. Winnicott’s work, situating him historically within the psychoanalytic tradition through a critical-historical approach. I consider his political-institutional positions and the geopolitical context of his time as essential elements for illuminating both the contributions and the gaps left by his work in the psychoanalytic field.
I offer conferences and talks on my book The Feminine Among Us: A Dialogue with Winnicott, which explores the representation of feminine identity in Winnicott’s work. My aim is to bring the psychoanalytic field into dialogue with contemporary debates on identity, sexuality, gender, and the body — all examined through cultural and political lenses.
I have taught courses and seminars in psychoanalytic training programs presenting what I call Winnicott in the Tropics. Based on a semantic-conceptual review of Winnicott’s contributions, and in dialogue with counter-colonial theory and the lens of intersectionality, I propose genuinely Brazilian reinterpretations inspired by Winnicott’s thought, engaging with topics such as:
